As a leading organisation we continue to grow and are recruiting for Regional Trainer for the North of the UK. Given the nature of the role, it will require some travelling and overnight stays where appropriate.
The Regional Trainer will manage the development, implementation, and coordination of training programs to maximize network-wide training.
Other responsibilities include:
- Deliver training throughout the specified region in the Bluebird Care franchise network, both on a face-to-face basis and virtually. This includes travelling throughout the region with some overnight stays.
- Implement both individual and business training plans as directed by the Head of Learning and Development.
- Working as part of a project team to deliver on various major Learning and Development initiatives.
- Plan, prepare and deliver training for franchise partners, registered managers, care assistants, supervisors and coordinators, and any other role as directed by the Head of Learning and Development, to include ongoing review of content to ensure it meets any agreed requirements.
- Promote anti-discriminatory practice and brand values during delivery of training, any further training and in the application of all Bluebird Care policies and procedures.
- Draw upon a range of methods to support staff to learn about best care practice, to keep their skills and knowledge up to date and to continue their professional development e.g. eLearning, classroom based training, on the job practice etc.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes. Provide reports as required to the Head of Learning and Development and the Director of People. Make sure learning methods are cost effective and make improvements where necessary.

Experience needed:
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills including computer literacy.
- Extensive experience of the social care sector and an excellent understanding of how to deliver safe and effective care to customers at home.
- Good knowledge of legal responsibilities and national standards (UK wide) in relation to domiciliary care and support and how to apply these in practice. A clear understanding of customer rights (e.g. the importance of respecting the customer’s privacy, dignity, autonomy and independence).
- A teaching/training qualification at Level 3 or above (eg. L3 AET/PTLLS & L5 DET).
- Experience of delivering training in social care, both on a face-to-face basis and virtually via Teams and Zoom.
- Experience of planning, designing and delivering staff learning programmes. Proven ability to support the learning and development of staff and to evaluate competencies.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the specified region, to include some overnight stays where appropriate.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Confidence to manage business relationships at a senior level and to influence other key stakeholders
