Job description
We recognise the value in having people with a variety of backgrounds, experience and skills in our business. That means the role requirements here should be seen as a guide, not a checklist. If you have more, less or different experiences, but really relevant skills, we’d love to hear from you.
We work flexibly and will help you to find a healthy balance of remote working and time in our fantastic Southampton office where you will be based, as well as our other office locations, collaborating, taking part in events and getting to know people that makes working with us so rewarding. We welcome the opportunity to discuss flexible hours. The Role At Carnival Corporate Shipbuilding, we manage the entire cruise ship-building process, from initial business opportunity to post-delivery warranty for all brands of Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest cruise company. To enable Corporate Shipbuilding to be successful, we’re looking for a Decarbonisation Senior Marine Engineer that will be the recognised subject matter expert within the marine engineering & decarbonisation discipline for plan approval activities with a specific focus on environmental systems. Key responsibilities include: Being clear on developments within the decarbonisation discipline areas and how these should be implemented on board our vessels. Participating in the design and development of new vessels, assisting in the negotiation of specifications and associated documents with builders, contractors and brands. Providing, managing and applying decarbonisation technical expertise in marine engineering to the design, construction and conversion of passenger vessels and to the operation of the existing fleet. Our role categories range from CCS15 (entry level) to CCS1 (Senior Vice President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. Due to the nature of the work we do in Corporate Shipbuilding, onsite also includes working in shipyards, on ships, visiting suppliers etc as well as Carnival House in Southampton.Job tags
