Our client an agri-commodity business in East Sussex, is seeking to hire an experienced IT Manager. The role reporting directly to the COO and working closely with the Risk Manager. The candidate will be an experienced IT professional, proficient with FileMaker.

What our client is looking for :

As well as being a key person for IT related developments and services, the successful person will have regular interaction with teams across the business in different location: the USA, Germany, Malaysia, Peru, and Ethiopia as well as current developers.

Experience with:

• Understand and oversee code development.
• Project management to lead program development and communication with 3rd party developers.
• Data analytics
• Cyber security
• Ability to identify software needs.
• Knowledge of data architecture and performance reports of operating systems.
• Have a 'can-do' attitude with the ability to multi-task and take full ownership of IT areas.
• Analytical mind with great attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

This position is full time 35 hours per week. Initially 5 days per week in the office (3-6 months), then hybrid with three days per week
in the office and two days working from home. (Optional)

Key areas of responsibility

• IT Management of Filemaker and working closely with 3rd party developer to manage and develop the system.
• Managing IT budgets, forecast and cost-effectiveness.
• Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals.
• Web portals developments and management
• Evaluating risk and developing network recovery and backup processes.
• Work on compliance controls to meet SOX requirements as per head office requirements.
• Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware.
• Assuring that IT activities are within the scope of applicable laws and regulations.
• Reviewing and overlooking security of the network, data, storage, and communication systems
