Job description
Streatham & Clapham High School is looking for an exceptional and ambitious teacher to lead our Sixth Form team.
As Director of Sixth Form, you will play a leading role in the strategic planning, development and management of the post-16 provision, ensuring that our students can enjoy a breadth of rich and fulfilling educational opportunities within and beyond the curriculum.
You will encourage younger students to proceed into the Sixth Form and will be responsible for the university guidance and application process, ensuring every student is equipped for the next stage of their educational journey. In addition to this, you will be responsible for Sixth Form pastoral support, ensuring that proactive and effective care and safeguarding is in place.
You will be an energetic and enthusiastic individual, with excellent organisational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. You will possess previous teaching experience across the full 11-18 range, as well as substantial and successful experience of curriculum leadership and management, gained as a Head of Department, Key Stage Co-ordinator or an equivalent senior role. A leadership qualification such as an NPQML or NPQSL is essential.
