Job description

Executive Director of People

We are seeking an Executive Director of People, role-model the charity’s values and shape their organisation, workplace and culture to enable them to make the UK the best place for people with a learning disability to live happy and healthy lives and have the same rights as everyone else.

As a member of the Executive Team, you will set and deliver the people, culture and organisational development strategy to deliver the charity’s vision and values.

You will foster a working culture that values equity, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing to deliver the most engaging experience for the 8000 colleagues and the people we support.

Your team will provide strategic and operational guidance on all people related issues and you will build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are fully equipped to lead and support change and development initiatives across the organisation, putting people at the heart of everything they do.

This is a job for an experienced Director of People and/or Organisational Development. But you also need to have a passion for improving the lives of people with a learning disability, a values-based approach to leadership, and the confidence and experience to leading change and embed culture in a large and complex organisation. And, you'll be accomplished in, and excited about, working alongside people at every level of an organisation to ensure we all have the confidence and the ability to deliver for the people they support and achieve their mission.

This role is a full-time permanent role. The charity is flexible on location but there is a requirement to travel when required to London and Peterborough and to be visible in other locations in the UK
