Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician
Location: Coulsdon
Salary: Basic Salaries from £34,500 to £50,750 Inc London Weighting + £13,200 potential bonus
Working Hours: 42.5 hrs Monday to Friday
Saturday’s 1 in 4 – 8:00 to 13:00
Our client is an automotive retailer representing prestigious luxury car Brands throughout the South of the UK who are currently recruiting an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
- Ensure full understanding of the latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
- Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
- Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty, and site requirements.
- Complete vehicle health checks and CitNOW video in a timely manner (or equivalent)
Requirements:
- The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment
- The capability of working to the highest quality standards
- Great communication skills
- A full UK driving license
- Experience within a main automotive dealer preferable, but not essential
- VOSA approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential
- Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent
