We have an exciting new opportunity for a Strategy Manager, where you will manage the planning and commercial analysis of Road customer retention journeys to maximise the retained value of c£600m invited premium, c3.1m invited customers per year & £30m in customer discount.

You will own and drive the strategy, planning & technical implementation to optimise the commercial performance of Road retention journeys across offers, channels, creative & timings. Working closely together with the Senior Retention Planning Manager, as well as a Marketing team who will manage the creative execution.

What will I be doing?

Drive a data and insight driven approach to plan & optimise retention activity across customer segments & journey points. Actively propose changes and introduce new activity through which to maximise commercial results and help develop future strategy

Work with Product Owners to ensure initiatives are built, tested & successfully implemented across different systems

Own the reporting and understanding of commercial performance of retention activity & initiatives. This means working closely with the Retention Analyst, Insight & MI teams to determine actionable insight and MI on performance

Work with Pricing, Finance, Contact Centre, Acquisition and Group Marketing teams as required, to ensure we understand the impact of other team’s activities on retention, and influence their plans to optimise overall value for the AA

Work with the inbound and outbound contact centre teams to optimise the commercial performance of inbound (Stay AA) & outbound customer interactions.

What do I need?

Excel advanced user - able to build forecasts and models to explain complex campaign results

Strong technical acumen - able to drive conversations with IT colleagues to properly understand solutions, to ensure right customer and commercial outcomes

CRM Planning experience and expertise; including control group and A/B testing analysis within complex customer journeys

Commercial acumen – focus on revenue and profit creation

Exposure to offer optimisation

Understanding of predictive model application in CRM planning

Understand and have worked with commercial operations teams

Experience working in regulated subscription businesses (especially Telco or Insurance)

Some SAS skills would be an advantage
