Job description
Investigo are delighted to have been retained by a large Milton Keynes based organisation to recruit a Head of FP&A and Strategy, on a permanent basis.
As senior member of the Finance team, the Head of FP&A and Strategy will be accountable for delivery of all budgets and forecasts for the business, challenging the status quo thinking, ensuring that short term trends are understood, long term opportunities are spotted and maximised, with a critical eye kept on cashflow and liquidity.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning the process for production of the monthly investor pack - working with CEO, CFO and other senior leaders to prepare the pack that forms the discussion for the monthly review with our owners.
- Owning the end to end budget and rolling forecast processes. Working with finance and non-finance stakeholders to deliver a quality and on-time budget for the whole business.
- Owning the long range integrated forecast model covering P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow - working with the PE house analyst team alongside business stakeholder
- Ensuring the stock position is understood, challenging commercial buying teams where necessary.
- Competitor insight and analysis.
- Ownership of the 3 year plan process, ensuring that there is clarity for the long term.
- Bring clarity of direction to a diverse team, ensuring all understand how they contribute to the Finance and Business goals.
- Owning the finance graduate scheme, ensuring all members are pushed and challenged whilst also making sure that great line manager standards are upheld across the finance team
- Identifying and delivering initiatives that drive cash efficiency into the business, through own processes or identifying end to end gaps that could be improved
- Establishing effective relationships with all members of the Finance teams, whilst building relationships with Buying and Operational teams where necessary
- Ability to take a brief from a CEO & CFO and craft a story in a simple but accurate way, challenging appropriately to ensure that thinking is fully joined up
- Motivating, leading and developing a team inline with business values and deliverables and role model 'what good looks like' in Finance

The successful Candidate will be a Professionally Qualified individual with extensive FP&A experience, ideally from within a fast paced, multi-channel business. They will be strong communicator who is comfortable challenging and influencing across all levels within a business. Whilst they need to be an effective leader, there will still be a need for them to roll up their sleeves and be hand's-on at times.
