Content Marketing Specialist (Courts & Justice)
Tyler Technologies is currently hiring for a Content Marketing Specialist to join our Courts & Justice Marketing team! As a Content Marketing Specialist, you are responsible for providing well-researched content for use in the Courts & Justice department's Content Marketing program. This role requires the skillful creation of highly readable content that positions the client as the hero of the material while strategically weaving in key marketing themes. It is our preference to have someone in our Plano, TX office but we are also open to candidates in the Yarmouth, ME and Troy, MI area.
You will be responsible for creating blogs, case studies, product sheets, flyers, brochures, web copy, and more while understanding how to position and promote content within the courts and justice markets to reach the widest audience and convert prospects to subscribers.
Materials can be technical in nature and require strong feature/benefit/value language. This role also supports other marketing program initiatives, both traditional and digital, and works with the department's outbound team to ensure cohesive storytelling and messaging are executed internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Generate compelling copy for print, web, video, and social by obtaining product or service information by interviewing, or requesting such information, from necessary parties, including internal and external subject matter experts and clients.
- Write product fact sheets, brochures, case studies, newsletter articles, advertising, social media, blogs, and other material as requested by the Vertical Marketing Director.
- Maintain and manage project schedules, approvals, and other project-related needs utilizing the Marketing Department’s online project management software.
- Proofread and edit a variety of copy and ensure brand voice is maintained.
- Plan and launch new social channel(s) as determined, analysis results, and implement best practices.
- Ability to adapt tone/message to speak to the target audience.
- Utilize a metric-driven approach to determine which programs are most effective and leverage these learnings to adjust future marketing activity.
- Work with marketing communications managers to incorporate content into campaigns.
- Conduct research for content topics based on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years marketing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong writing skills and related experience are required, including the ability to create impactful marketing messages demonstrated through writing samples
- Thought leadership content creation is a plus
- Experience in content generation and marketing in the digital space
- Experience in web services, social media, and digital marketing
- Knowledge and proficiency with AP style
- Experience effectively managing a variety of marketing projects and timelines
- Technology/software industry experience strongly preferred; public sector experience preferred
- Microsoft Office and Adobe InCopy proficiency preferred
- An understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
- A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectations is key to the success of this role
