Job description

Our client are a specialist manufacturer of plastic products supplying to a range of sectors such as food & drink, industrial and domestic retail.

We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team in Ballymena.

The company have produced a range of innovative plastic products and have made strides in recycled plastic.

It's preferable for candidates to have good multi-skilled experience but we will also consider bias to either electrical or mechanical.

12 hour shift rotations covering days & nights Sunday to Friday, no Saturdays. Typical equipment you will be working on includes blow moulding, conveyors, air compressors, chillers.

The Role

• Repair, maintain and service machines to required standards
• Electrical and Mechanical maintenance, repairs and fault finding
• PM work on schedule and record accurately
• Problem solve and fault find on production machines
• Monitor machine performance and contribute to improvements to avoid downtime
• Work with production teams, shift manager and engineering manager to prioritise tasks
• Work in line with health & safety policy

What we are looking for

• Level 3 qualified Engineering
• Maintenance experience in FMCG or similar manufacturing settings
• Knowledgeable across mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Ideally multi-skilled with experience both electrical & mechanical
• Working knowledge of PLC systems
