Maintenance Manager

Join our dynamic team, for an exciting, progressive business within the manufacturing industry. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager, who strives in leadership and management of maintenance teams, and to be hands on and carries out maintenance within production when needed.
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of our maintenance department. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, develop maintenance procedures, and implement strategies to optimize equipment performance while minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal functionality and longevity of equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with department heads to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory levels.
- Monitor and adhere to safety regulations and protocols to create a safe working environment for maintenance staff.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to 18th edition or equivalent, knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical
- Experience leading a team
- Manufacturing experience
- Proven experience with PLC's, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Good communication skills
