About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our newly established Design & Innovation team based in Coventry. Working closely with our Geely colleagues and reporting into the Digital Design Chief this role will be responsible for:
⚡ Using Alias/icem or other 3D software to produce CAS and A-surface data for the modelling development process.
⚡ Accurately understand the designer's sketch/rendering intent and quickly convert 2D concepts to 3D digital models.
⚡ Helping designers to rationalize the design intent space and develop 3D solutions.
⚡ Submitting professional quality 3D output according to the project nodes as well as check and improve data quality.
⚡ Preparing digital presentation and review the modelling.
Experience to succeed
⚡ More than 5 years of digital design work experience in Automotive design, completed multiple vehicle interior or exterior projects.
⚡ Proficiency in Alias (ICEM, Blender, Vred).
⚡ Extensive experience in pre-CAS design, good styling sense and aesthetic sense.
⚡ Understanding the general styling concerns and constraints in automotive styling development projects.
⚡ Experience with Class-A projects and understanding of the corresponding data quality requirements.
⚡ Good data management habits, document preservation and filing in an orderly manner.
⚡ Proactive, clear logic thinker, and good communication skills.
⚡ Industrial design and related majors are preferred.
