Job description
Eden Scott are supporting a client seeking a Ground Operations Officer on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on safely executing ground activities for helicopter and fixed-wing operations, including towing aircraft, safety during starts and shutdowns, refueling, baggage handling, ramp checks, winter safety measures, and acting as a safety leader.
Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft and non-aircraft towing activities.
- Provide safety coverage for aircraft starts and shutdowns, including engine and aircraft washes.
- Handle aircraft refueling for helicopter operations.
- Prepare and load passenger baggage and freight items according to aircraft hold limitations.
- Unload aircraft, identify, and report any non-compliant items.
- Conduct daily vehicle, equipment, and ramp condition checks.
- Support winter safety plans by applying de-icer and maintaining grit bins.
- Act as a safety leader, identifying and reporting safety hazards.
Application Requirements:
- Forklift license, HGV Class 2, Dangerous Goods Awareness qualification
- Essential: Driving license.
- Previous experience as a Ground Operations Officer preferred, training provided.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility for shift work, including weekends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of heavy lifting.Initiative while adhering to procedures.
- Safety-focused with confidence to address safety concerns.
