Oswestry School is an independent, co-educational day & boarding school, with a 11-18 senior school of c.400 pupils (120 of whom board) and a 4-11 Prep School of c.120 pupils. The strong ethos of the school is reflected in its fabulous pastoral care and sense of community. The School is a member of HMC and has been judged ‘excellent’ in recent inspections. The School is growing in size and standing. Director of Sport

Oswestry School seeks an experienced and passionate sports educator to join us as a full-time Director of Sport from September 2024. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual with a clear vision for - and understanding of - sports education, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering ‘sport for all’ as well as sporting excellence. The role includes responsibility for all sport across the whole-school from prep through to senior, leading the team of teaching staff and sports coaches to develop sporting excellence alongside the participation of pupils of all abilities for their enjoyment, health and lifelong engagement. The Director of Sport will be the faculty lead for Sport Science and the academic curriculum. 

The role would be perfect for any seasoned Directors of Sport or for inspirational sport science teachers who are looking to step into a leadership role.
