administrative assistant for the inclusion team – short term circa 6 weeks in first instance – supporting data and clerical tasks linked to elective home education, inclusion team school training admin tasks, excel spreadsheets etc
MAJOR PURPOSE OF POST :To support the remit and function of the inclusion team which includes LA responsibilities of and for: the Education Welfare Service (EWS), Out of school tuition (OOST), Child employment licensing and Elective Home Education (EHE).
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Specific
• To process child employment applications, chaperone and child performance licenses in accordance with legislation
• To support in the administration and processing of Education Welfare Service penalty notices and other procedures connected to non-attendance or failing to secure a suitable education.
• To support in the administration and data processing of Local Authority support and monitoring of children who are electively home educated.
• To maintain accurate databases of children who are EHE, missing in education (CME) and those open to EWS and with Child employment licenses.
• To maintain data systems and processes and extrapolate exclusion, attendance, licensing, restraint and training data for the Inclusion Manager and Social, Emotional, Mental Health Panel (SEMHP) as needed.
• To work under the direction of the Inclusion Manager, liaising with members of the Inclusion team to consider future developments
• To provide administrative support for the team and other service areas
• To provide emergency or holiday cover for appropriate administrative support for other service areas:
? Complex Needs Manager
? Complex Cases Manager
? Educational Psychology
? ALN
? Specialist Teachers, Cognition/Learning and Sensory Impairment
? Safeguarding
• To take minutes of meetings
• To deal with incoming and outgoing mail
• To cover responsibilities of all aspects of the support work team, particularly when team members are absent from work
• To assist with management and development of the ONE database
• To develop, update and maintain electronic systems
• To collate, interpret data as requested to provide management information for service managers
Generic
