As part of our continued expansion, the opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with good engineering knowledge to join our team in Aylesbury.
The role will be on a night shift pattern of 4 days on 3 days off.
As a night shift Maintenance Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for performing fault finding, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of machinery and systems.
Knowledge of blending vessels, pumps, filling machines, cartoners, ink jet printing and packaging equipment in a clean room environment would be advantageous , as well as implementing preventative maintenance procedures to minimise downtime and maintain product quality.
Your role in detail:
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment,
including but not limited to production lines, and packaging machinery. Troubleshoots and diagnoses, equipment malfunctions, performing repairs and - replacements as needed.
- Perform reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to minimise equipment
downtime and optimise production efficiency. - Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure smooth manufacturing
processes. Contributes towards the continuous improvement of processes and site - services.
- Reports and communicates all maintenance issues effectively at all levels.
- Ensures all work undertaken is recorded and the record kept and made available
for audit purposes. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history and spare
parts inventory. - Adheres to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working
environment. - Keep up to date with advancements in maintenance technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
- Operational experience gained post apprenticeship.
- An electrical background with an 18th edition electrical qualification is preferable.
- Proven experience as Maintenance Engineer/Technician in a high volume/high speed production or manufacturing facility.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Continuous Improvement knowledge.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible to work on a rotating shift pattern and respond to emergencies if required .
