Role : Project Manager (Operational Readiness) DV Cleared
Contract Length: 12 Months initially
Location: Aldermaston (3 days/week on site)
IR35: INSIDE
Rate : GBP72,33/hr (Umbrella)

Key Accountabilities:
- To deliver Operational Readiness Management expertise, guidance and direction for Projects as assigned/tasked by ORT Group Leader. Responsible for functional ORT planning and reporting within assigned projects.
- Analyse, plan, corral and integrate the inputs, systems, processes, procedures, personnel and other enablers required to enable the asset to operate, ensuring they are synchronised with asset delivery, installation and commissioning so that Acceptance, Transition and Operations occur as soon as practicable.
- Develop and own the Operational Readiness (OR) and Transition Plan (ORT) (incorporating ORT process and governance; OR personnel and OR financial resource plans) for assigned projects.
- Supporting the Capability/Project Sponsor and Head of Technology Centre – ensure all issues on all lines of activity to enable asset operation are identified, owned, addressed, and resolved.
- Ensure comprehensive cross lines of development/activity integration and stakeholder management to support achieving optimal operational readiness.
- Operate as tasked by/report to the Capability/Project Sponsor and Head of Technology Centre in respect of OR within the specific project construct.
- Lead, coach and develop the Designate Operations Team.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate/drive the OR philosophy/approach within projects. Ensure a focus on capability delivery.
- Act as the OR Intelligent Client for the project enabling optimal operational start–up/ramp up to FOC.
- Inform and Assure: Concepts; Requirements; Contracts; Design; Acceptance and Handover criteria.
- Produce/Own the ORT plan (including OR personnel and financial resource plan) integrated with the project plan and oversee its execution.
- Ensure operational considerations are incorporated/integrated with all aspects of the comprehensive project execution plan.
- Lead and manage the Designate Operations Readiness Team (PAE, AOM, ESH, et al).
- Assure and report on project planning and progress.
- Manage OR Project interfaces; Risks and Issues; Lessons.
- Handover to Tech Centre Issues, Risks and Opportunities pertinent to post Gate 5 Operations.
- Coordinate:
- Identification of applicable laws, regulations, licences and permit requirements, and ensure project compliance.
- Generation of Operational and Capital spare parts lists and monitor their procurement.
- Generation and set up of the through life Asset Management System and Asset Management Plan.
- Provision of Operational Manuals (including Operating and Maintenance Instructions).
- Generation of the Training Matrix and monitor Implementation of the training and competency assessment process.
- Monitor commissioning of equipment and systems, and logging and close out of defect list items.
- Monitor Acceptance and Handover process and completeness of defined packages of work. Ensure snagging is captured, monitored and closed out.
- Support broader project management activities (e.g., planning, recruitment, training, manpower mobilization, cost control) through project phases into operations
