Job Duties:
- Providing 1-1 support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
- Implementing individualised support plans for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Supporting students in improving their social and emotional skills
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate challenging situations
- Patient and empathetic approach towards supporting students with behavioural difficulties
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant training or certifications in special educational needs or behaviour support
- Additional qualifications in child psychology or counselling

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
