Application Engineer / Software Engineer
Hybrid working – Bicester
Minimum 2 days a week in the office
£35,000 - £40,000 An exciting opportunity for an Application Engineer / Software Engineer to join a leader in high-performance navigation systems, that operate globally. They are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Applications Engineer / Software Engineer who has had experience working on projects from internal stakeholders and external customers.
The Application Engineer / Software Engineer must have demonstrable experience developing real-time embedded firmware in C/C++, and knowledge of digital and analogue electronics.
You must be commutable to Bicester.

The Application Engineer / Software Engineer Position: - Develop application solutions through developing new hardware and software, configuring the company's products, and integrating 3rd party products. Test and maintain hardware and software, including release process, version control, and bug management. Write and maintain documentation for designs to describe functionality, use and reasons for design decisions.
- Investigate requests for the development of solutions to meet customer applications, originating from customers or internally from Product Management. Undertake investigative / feasibility work to develop solutions. Plan and cost projects; provide information to Sales for quotation.
- Work with software applications that perform various controls/commands on hardware systems.
- Technical review for the release of software solutions.
- Debugging and troubleshooting issues.
The Software Engineer / Software Developer / Test Equipment Software Engineer Requirements - Demonstrable experience in C/C++ programming real-time embedded firmware
- Experience with firmware release process, version control and bug management.
- Use standard electronics principles.
- Must be commutable to Bicester.
