Job description
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience of working with departments such as logistics and procurement. Good verbal and written communication skills. They must also have a good track record of using their initiative to solve problems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a working environment that is safe, efficient, organised, and tidy for all employees.
- Daily cycle count output to be completed, monitored and any discrepancies fully investigated prior to submitting.
- Ensure all team tasks are rotated and efficient methods of working are shared.
- Ensure that all items are stored in a safe, suitable, and efficient manner in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support planning and procurement with investigating incorrect or non-conforming materials, goods or stock, to determine root cause and assist implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor that all stock location records are accurately maintained both physically and on the E1 system.
- Operate the forklift as required.
- Ensure goods are checked at the time of delivery, on the E1 system, to see if there is a shortage against a corresponding work or sales order.
- Locate and where appropriate, create a new suitable location, for items received to match space and existing stock matching.
- Monitor work and sales order shortages and move completed works orders to the designated Production area in a safe timely manner and communicate this to the internal customer.
- Support and promote 5’s principals within all areas.
