Project Software Engineer

Duration: 6 Months
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Project Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful delivery of project solutions within the agreed scope, adhering to company protocols, and meeting budgetary and time constraints. The ideal candidate will embody a "right first time" approach and proactively communicate any risks or concerns to the Senior Engineer or Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of delivering designated modules within projects, such as PLC, SCADA, Testing, Networking, Documentation, and Hardware design.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior/Lead Engineer and Project Manager, following their guidance and directives.
- Ensure technical and quality standards are met for all assigned projects.
- Uphold adherence to company quality processes and procedures throughout project life cycles.
- Identify project opportunities and potential variations, contributing to project flexibility and efficiency.
- Assist the Project Manager in identifying and addressing risks and issues as they arise.
- Promote the use of reusable modules through standard approaches.
- Lead by example in adhering to health and safety protocols.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in developing project modules, such as PLC code modules, SCADA scripts, and communication drivers.
- Proficiency in reporting progress to senior team members or project managers.
- Ability to identify and communicate deviations from agreed–upon functionality or scope.
- Experience in peer–reviewing project documents and conducting site surveys as necessary.
- Familiarity with outline design, upfront design studies, and client requirement definition processes.
- Capability in developing Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Detailed Design Specifications (DDS).
- Competence in developing test specifications and designing testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in creating site work documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and site test documentation.
- Ability to develop Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
- Experience in conducting full integrated system testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and installations.
- Proficiency in handling observations, variations, reworks, packing, shipping, and site installations.
- Capability to provide warranty support as needed.
