Job description
As the Junior Model Booker, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day of the Model Casting & Booking department. We book up to 30 models per day, cast up to 100 potential models per week and work with over 100 suppliers worldwide so this role is vital in ensuring the admin behind the operation runs like clockwork. You will work with the team to supply and nurture a continuous stream of exciting models to be one step ahead of the competition and deliver the best model assets in the industry for our 20 something customer. This role is very fast paced, varied and exciting. You’ll be faced with pressured situations, so it requires someone with enthusiasm, initiative and a can do attitude. It is vital that you are passionate about fashion- you are excited to learn more about the industry and how we can continue to deliver the best assets to our ASOS customer.
What you’ll be doing…
- Creative ability to understand the ASOS model aesthetic and segments for girls and boys and assist the team in casting accordingly.
- Support Bookers with optioning and booking for the product pages - approx. 25 models per day
- Support Bookers with the day-to-day processes of greeting and checking in approx. 25 models per day
- Build professional relationships with models, becoming their ‘go to’ during their bookings.
- Responsible for the daily admin tasks required to book approx. 25 models per day including but not limited; to call sheets, confirmations, booking reminders, lunch cards and internal coms on model/booking info.
- Excellent understanding of the booking system and responsible for the upkeep of all model and agency profiles within this.
- Maintaining department shared folders, making sure they have up to date information and assets for the team to use.
- Building model portfolios online and create model packages to share within the business, having a good eye to select images.
- Responsible for organising, booking, logging and communicating (with travel company and agencies) on the logistics of all model bookings including flights, accommodation and taxi’s etc.
- Responsible for the organisation, preparation, support and follow up of castings. Including but not limited to; managing casting wardrobe, casting lists, pose boards, greeting models, selecting outfits and saving of images to casting database.
- Organising any pre-job prep for models such as tans, haircuts or communicating specific instructions to models on the day.
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships within the model industry to ensure we maximise our position in the market.
- Working with the wider shoot team on set to help develop models and get the best out of each shoot
- Helping bookers to continually source new models per week- through all methods and media to sustain the ASOS demand.
- Understanding the demands and priorities of a production department, ability to step up and communicate well with management and wider department teams.
