Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Tonbridge, which is easily accessible via public transport.
About the role:
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively within schools and children’s homes, this ensures that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care and support we offer all children and young people.
Please note this role will begin as part-time and transition to a full-time role as student numbers increase.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Occupational Therapist: - Support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments
- Provide consultation, workshops, training and guidance to the educational and residential teams around children
- Provide clinical assessment and formulation
- Offer individualised interventions and engagement to young people
What we are looking for in a Senior Occupational Therapist: - Be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC
- Be a specialist and be skilled in delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs
- Need experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences
- Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
- Be highly organised and ready to take the initiative
- Be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people
- Be a member of a multi-disciplinary team, receiving regular supervision and supported in your CPD.
- Have lengthy sector experience and a background in team supervision are all vital.
- Be a car driver, as there’s some travel involved.
