Job description

We are currently looking to recruit HGV Class 2 Dustcart Drivers for our client, a leading provider in the Waste Management Industry based in Sittingbourne, Kent. Our client is looking to recruit drivers on an ongoing placement.

About this HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver job

The HGV Class 2 Dustcart role is responsible for:-

• Collecting General Waste/Recycling and Food waste from Residential properties within the Ashford Area
• You will be working with a team of loaders whose primary role is to ensure the vehicle is loaded; as a driver, you will be required on occasions to assist with the loading
• Your primary role is to drive and ensure the vehicle is driven safely.
• Training will take place in Ashford on Friday, 15th March 2024 - with a planned start date of 25th March 2024.

Working is an ongoing temporary placement and will be booked for initially 2 weeks from the 25th March 2024. After the initial two weeks, work will be booked on an ad-hoc week by week booking

HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver’s shift pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 6.30 am start, finish times can vary each day. Average working hours are 8 hours per day

About you, the ideal HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver

• Previous experience within the Waste Management Sector is preferred but not essential
• Previous experience driving a rear steer or dustcart vehicle is preferred but not essential
• Valid CPC is required for this role
• To be able to work as part of a team
