Job description
What you will do in your working day
- You will spend your first year 'off the job' at a training provider of our choice, learning all disciplines related to the machining apprenticeship.
- You will train on both manual and CNC lathes and milling machines, aswell as learning various fitting techniques.
- On your return to the company you will continue your training in the toolroom, whilst working alongside mentors, where you will improve upon the skills already learnt.
The training you will be getting
- You will work towards gaining your Level 3 diploma during your first 2 years, and be eligible to continue onto your HNC in Mechanical Engineering by the end of your 4th year.
- You will complete the Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship over the 4 year duration.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
After 4 years, you will be a fully skilled Mechanical Engineer/Toolmaker
