This role is pivotal in providing specialised lymphoedema management and support to our patients, embodying our commitment to holistic and tailored care.

About the Role

As a Bank Lymphoedema Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering expert lymphoedema therapy services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of lymphoedema in patients with life-limiting conditions. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, compassionate care, and a deep understanding of the complexities associated with lymphoedema.

Contract Details

• Hourly Rate: £11.64
• Contract: Casual Hours (Bank)
• Hours: As and when required basis
• Location: St. Luke's Hospice Basildon and Thurrock

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of lymphoedema, incorporating both manual lymphatic drainage and the prescription of compression garments.
• Provision of holistic care, including patient education on skin care, exercise, and self-management techniques for lymphoedema.
• Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to integrate lymphoedema therapy into the patient’s overall care plan, ensuring a personalised and comprehensive approach.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and contributing to the continuous improvement of lymphoedema services.

About You:

• Qualified and experienced Lymphoedema Therapist with a solid background in healthcare, particularly in palliative care or oncology settings.
• Possessing relevant lymphoedema management qualification 
• A compassionate approach to care, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrable commitment to multidisciplinary working and continuous professional development.
• Your empathy, expertise, and dedication to patient-focused care align with St. Luke's Hospice core values.
