Job description


We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our Intensive Psychological Therapies Service team based at Branksome Clinic.

As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will assist CMHTS and undertake a variety of tasks including completing clinical audits, populating referrals, client assessment, outreach work with clients who have experienced complex trauma and longstanding interpersonal difficulties and one to one work with CMHT clients with a view to engaging in therapy by delivering online webinars and family/therapy groups.

You will work in a supportive team, have supervision and multiple opportunities of training in response to Dialectical Behaviour Therapy call requests and in therapy with a view to delivering Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO-DBT) or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) in line with the programme offered.

The Senior Mental Health Support Worker role is a full-time post Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, part time hours would be considered.

You will train in suicide and crisis management and respond to DBT Coaching Call requests from clients.

Under the supervision of the Liaison team attend liaison meetings, address liaison conversations and emails relating to clients to support incoming referrals.

Populate IPTS referral forms, liaising with the CMHT regarding review of the information provided in the form prior to submission. Liaise with the service user to establish goals for therapy and discuss their risk.

Support the team members where required and provide cover for the Admin office when required including incoming telephone calls.
