About the role
In this role, your primary focus is getting insights on our sustainability reporting for our Cocoa operations. This involves revising and analyzing data on farmer practices and sustainability programs, prepare diagnosis reports of data quality, identify urgent improvements, train origins to address pitfalls, and monitor implementation of solutions.
You’ll be working closely with the Sustainability and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) origin teams, whom you will assist with internal and external reporting and provide training on data quality monitoring and survey collection.
You will design and implement standard operational procedures to monitor data quality recording, data quality reporting, polygon quality, EUDR compliance and farmer training.The overarching goal is to revolutionize and digitize reporting metrics.Responsibilities
- Evaluate capacity of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) origin teams and provide guidance to improve
- Support the implementation of farmer segmentation analytics and farm development plan design.
- Support data cleaning and tailoring for submission to different sustainability reporting platforms from customers and partner organizations.
- Propose innovations to data collection, data monitoring and data evaluation
- Conduct in-depth demo’s of our online sustainability platforms to external parties
- Be the Cocoa point of contact for our digital sustainability platforms - test new development, provide high level detailed feedback and be responsible for the final sign off, investigate and provide guidance on tech issues
- Monitor status, estimations and expected delivery dates for all Cocoa digital tracks
About you
You have solid, relevant experience in data analytics and monitoring/evaluation techniques. You are a motivator and a strong communicator with the ability to keep people and processes on track. Functional expertise
- A least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- High confidence in working in multicultural and diverse environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritise tasks across time zones and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Degree on a quantitative analytics field, preferably with a master’s degree on environmental sciences, econometrics, environmental economics, agricultural economics, industrial ecology, or applied statistics.
- Knowledge on mapping, GIS, data analytics, data visualization, and statistics and experience using tools like R, Python and PowerBI.Personal skills
- A good command of English language (with preferably additional languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese))
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Affinity with sustainability and understanding of key drivers
- You are proactive, autonomous, responsible and results focused
- Creative mind to provide innovative solutions
- Strong interest on data analytics and passion for harvesting sustainability insights from data.
