Be responsible for co-ordinating the induction, training and development of all grades of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants working in all sections of the pharmacy. Provide advice and support with regard to training the pharmacy technical staff across all Southern Trust Sites. Work collaboratively with the Chief and Lead Technicians to manage the pharmacy technical staff and participate in the day to day running of various sections of the Pharmacy department. The Post holder will be required to work throughout the Area Service which includes Craigavon Area Hospital, Daisy Hill, South Tyrone and Lurgan Hospitals. .

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the education and training of pharmacy technicians and assistants, collaborating with relevant managers.
• Lead in the support and monitoring of mandatory training for the department. Ensuring relevant staff competencies are maintained and that records are up to date

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hold an ACPT qualification or complete at the earliest opportunity within the remit of the NICPLD programme
