FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER
Robert Half are proud to be the exclusive recruitment partner to a fast-growing FMCG group, that due to an exciting period of positive change is now looking to recruit a financial analyst to expand the partnering offering to the leadership team, whilst developing and improving a suite of dashboards and models. The finance business partner role will offer a broad exposure to analysis, revenue modelling, business partnering and process improvement, for a large, well-established brand that can offer a wide range of career paths. This role would suit someone post qualified as an accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).

Duties:
Provide strategic business partnering insights and decision-making support to the commercial functions:
Forecasting :
- Support the forecasting process to understand sales & margin variances and support the team in modelling the future business performance
- Embody a no surprises mindset to forecasting
Sales & Gross Margin Reporting:
- Produce detailed, accurate & insightful Sales & Gross Margin reporting, providing senior leadership with commercial commentary and analytical insights to influence decision making
Gross to Net trade investment:
- Be the guardian of margin for the business, challenge pricing & commercial decision & ensure correct control procedures are adhered to
- Lead monthly channel reviews to ensure all risks & opportunities in the Gross to Net & Gross Profit % have been identified
- Ensure balance sheets & accruals are accurately maintained in this area
- Develop insights on Gross to Net trade investment, challenging stakeholders to optimise investment where appropriate
Marketing Investment Analysis:
- Work with the marketing team to develop Marketing Activity Summaries, measurable ROI reporting and drive the efficient use of marketing investment
Projects:
- Be the finance lead or representative for relevant business projects as required
MAIN SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED :
- Strong technical background
- ACA, CIMA, ACCA Qualified or equivalent (likely Big 4 trained), with strong academics
- SAP experience favoured
- Ambitious, hard working & problem solving mentality
- Experience of partnering with outsourced finance functions, developing processes & driving efficiency
- Positive & energetic manner
- Strong influencing skills ; able to have impact, negotiate, convince
- Adaptable & diplomatic approach, able to use judgement in handling situations and people
- Able to handle lots of tasks & projects with ease, with awareness of costs, resources, time
- Proven ability to learn fast and deliver excellent result in a fast-changing environment
Benefits :
- A highly competitive base salary of between £55,000 and £70,000 p/a based on the candidate's experience
