This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Warwick, Bicester or Guilford where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What's the opportunity
This position will primarily focus on managing strategic supplier relationships and contracts, while also establishing efficient procurement processes and fostering collaboration with other stakeholders such as manufacturing, logistics, and finance.
What you will do:
- Contract Management: Oversee end-to-end contract management processes, ensuring effective negotiation, implementation, and monitoring of contracts for compliance and performance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Foster alignment and collaboration between procurement, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and direct purchasing teams. Develop integrated strategies to optimise contract manufacturing processes and align with organisational goals, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs across the supply chain.
- Supplier Relationship Management : Cultivate strong relationships with contract manufacturing partners to optimise performance, drive innovation, and mitigate risks.
- Make vs. Buy Decision Support : Manage all 'Make' RFQs and negotiations with contract manufacturers, supporting decision-making processes as a key member of cross-functional teams.
- Managing Commercial Transactional Change Processes: Handle commercial aspects of the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process, ensuring justified and implemented cost changes requested by the contract manufacturer.
- Regular Travel to Europe : Conduct frequent visits to Europe to review contract manufacturing operations, strengthen relationships, and explore collaboration and improvement opportunities.
Who you are:
- Extensive Procurement Experience : Proven background in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, with a successful track record of managing large-scale complex contracts and supplier relationships.
- Negotiation Expertise : Demonstrated ability in negotiating contracts and managing supply bases from end to end, including strategy development, sourcing, delivery, and ongoing management.
- Managing Commercial Transactional Change Processes : Proficient in handling commercial aspects of change processes to enhance efficiency and competitiveness within the organisation.
- Influential Communicator : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building networks and fostering relationships across all organisational levels to drive collaboration and achieve objectives.
