Job description

Keep Wales Tidy is the charity committed to working with local communities across Wales to protect our environment now and for the future.

We are looking for a Co-ordinator for our Urban Long Forest Project. This is a new role funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to National Lottery Players.

Are you passionate about conservation and biodiversity? Do you have successful project management experience and a track record of organising events, giving presentations and delivering training? This could be the perfect role for you.

Through the Urban Long Forest Project, you will help us raise awareness and involve urban communities in looking after hedgerows and ancient trees. You will be working in partnership with Coed Cadw, Adult Learning Wales, Llais y Goedwig and local authorities to plan a range of education, training, and practical activities. The role will also work with regional teams across Wales with a focus on protecting and restoring hedgerows in Cardiff, Caerphilly, Neath Port Talbot and Wrexham

To enable you to do the job, you will need to show that you have high quality, successful project management experience and a track record of organising events, giving presentations and delivering training.

Your personal attributes should introduce you as a flexible team player with a collaborative work ethos and an ability to encourage innovative thinking. You will make valid judgements and reach sound decisions based on good analysis of relevant information. You must have a willingness to meet new challenges with enthusiasm and to develop and deliver new opportunities with equal passion.

While we would like you to have a relevant further qualification, we know that not all great people have them, so if you feel that you can demonstrate an ability to deliver against all of the criteria set out in our job descriptions please apply.

Location: Home based with the ability to travel throughout Wales when required.
Hours: 35 hours per week with the opportunity to work flexible hours
Initially fixed term contract until August 2025
