Wonderful position at a family yard with sole charge of our horses/ponies. We offer onsite accommodation and competitive pay/benefits
The ideal candidate will be competent, organised and flexible. Happy to take sole charge of all aspects relating to horses and yard.
We're looking for someone who will take pride in keeping the yard clean and tidy and to look after the horses as if they are their own.
Flexibility within the role is a must – as the days can really vary!
All normal yard duties daily – we usually have c.4 horses +2ponies
Must have driving licence.
Experience working with children and ponies (and a good sense of humour!) required
reliable & capable of working sole charge
equine first aid
clipping, plaiting & turning out to high standard
attend local shows
manage diaries/feed orders
lunge
general yard duties - very neat and organised!
must drive a car and 3,5t lorry
2 bed static home (modern) onsite
