Health and Safety Permit to Work Lead
Scotland | Homebased with Travel | £46,000 + Travel and Excellent Benefits

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a high-profile utilities provider to recruit a Health and Safety Permit to Work Lead . The organisation is a household name within the UK with construction projects in excess of £1bn per year. This role will be focused on managing a small team of Technical Administrators and lead on planning, organising and carrying out Control of Works services across all divisions. It will involve liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure operations regarding PTW work run smoothly across the business.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Permit to Work Lead will include:

• Working closely with Project Managers to develop a permit tracking system
• Ensuring all Permit Holders are fully aware of the task to be performed, hazards associated with it and the precautionary measures that shall be undertaken
• Determining any other requirement or safety measure to be implemented to achieve a safe working environment
• Ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and legislation, striving to reach industry best practice

The successful Health and Safety Permit to Work Lead will have:

• Previous experience within a senior Permit to Work role or equivalent
• NEBOSH General or equivalent (desirable)
• Excellent communications skills with proven experience of engaging with a range of stakeholders
