The Opportunity
Owing to the project ramping up, there is a new opportunity for an experienced systems engineer / requirements engineer to support a key nuclear project.
As a Senior Requirements Capture and MBSE Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of complex systems, ensuring that they meet the specified needs and requirements of stakeholders. Taking direction from programme System Engineering Managers you will lead the coordination and delivery of assigned tasks whilst defining, disseminating and overseeing task delivery and development of reporting systems engineers.
This role requires a strong foundation in both traditional systems engineering practices and Model–Based Systems Engineering methodologies as well as a broad understanding of general engineering practices. You will be responsible for capturing, analysing, and managing system requirements while leveraging MBSE techniques to create and maintain detailed system models.

- Requirements Elicitation and Analysis
- Model–Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Requirements Management
- Collaboration and Communication
- Verification and Validation
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in a suitable engineering discipline, systems engineering aspects desirable
- Proven experience in requirements capture, analysis and management.
- Familiarity with industry–standard requirements and acceptance management tools such as IBM DOORS.
- Strong background in Model–Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and SysML.
- Familiarity with industry–standard MBSE tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Cameo Systems Modeler, or others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices in systems engineering.
- Some knowledge of ship acquisition, manufacture, contract management and acceptance.
- Good knowledge of UK requirement syntax (user and system requirements) and processes.
- Security Clearance will be required for this role. Therefore, candidates must be willing and able to attain the level required
It s great if you also have the following:
- Experience in the use of Dimensions RM (requirements and acceptance management tool).
- Experience in the use of Goal Structuring Notation (GSN), ideally within a model–based systems engineering environment.
- Engineering knowledge and experience appropriate to ship procurement.
- Knowledge of shipping certification, safety and environmental protection regulation and frameworks as they pertain to requirement setting and design assurance.
- Knowledge of security processes and frameworks as they pertain to requirement setting and design assurance.
