Job description

An individual with physical disabilities living in the LE10 area requires a Self-employed PA to support with accessing the community and some personal care tasks.

Task/duties: PA will use their own vehicle to support client to access the community. Client will pay mileage separately to PA and a wheelchair is used out in the community. To also provide a daily 30min PM call to support with bedtime routine and securing property. Community access hours can be flexible. PM call to be discussed with client.

Relevant diagnosis: Osteoarthritis, COPD, Sleep Apnoea. Depression. Epilepsy (no rescue meds, client hasn’t had a seizure for over 10 years).

PA will require an enhanced DBS certificate but can be provided by local authority.
There is a cat in the property.
To work on a 1:1 basis. To assist to maximise independence and to access community social and recreational activities.

Previous care experience desired but not essential. This opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, patient, and respectful of others’ privacy, dignity, values, and beliefs. You may be a good fit if you are looking to get back into work after caring for a relative or friend.
