We're looking for an Analyst to join our Fund Execution team responsible for the timely placement of all fund orders, execution, trouble-shooting and providing deal related information to the front office. You will have some previous experience and will work independently under the supervision of Lead Analyst 2's.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on meeting tight deadlines. A strong interest in learning and harnessing technology will help you with your role in the organisation.
You will be flexible, creative and curious enough to take on a challenge, rather than tick off set tasks on a to-do list.

The Schroders Campus
You'll be based at Schroders Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. That's home to our operational teams, product reporting and operational oversight for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
What you'll do
• Responsible for the timely placement of fund subscriptions and redemptions (incl. Third Party Custody and Private Unit Trust orders);
• Independent comprehension and completion of Hedge Fund subscription as well as Limited Partnership documents;
• Monitor pending fund orders and following up on outstanding trades as well as resolving settlement issues with counterparties;
• Control of incoming and outgoing fund payments and providing accurate payment instructions and value dates to the internal payment department;
• Resolve dealing related enquiries;
• Assist in the prevention of financial risk to the firm by double checking incoming orders and raising concerns should anything seem unclear or incorrect with any order;
• Ensure immediate attention is brought to any type of placement error to eliminate the possibility of greater loss and market exposure;
• Manage client and stakeholder queries pro-actively, liaising with external and internal partners with particular focus on quality and timeliness of communication;
• Utilise department controls and procedures honestly and effectively, taking steps to escalate potential problems before they become risks;
• Suggest, explore and help to implement ideas to save time and cost, reduce risk and improve service quality;
• Collaborate with others to help build a positive and supportive working environment;
• Work through high volumes, prioritise, and manage workload according to risk or deadlines;
• Contribute to department and Company initiatives and projects;
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Several years of experience in Fund Execution;
• Strong aptitudes for numeracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced office environment;
• Good at analysing and solving problem with a strong handle on operational risk;
• Pro-active and effective in managing your own time with ability to prioritise tasks appropriately;
• Open to feedback, receptive to change, challenges status quo and continually looks out for team and self improvement opportunities;
• Proficient in basic software notably Excel.
