subject to appraisal after 6 months

5. Salary:£27,000
to £30,000 pro rata DOE
6. Purpose of role:
- Being a member of the Clipper Race Office team,
you will primarily support the Operations & Logistics Manager with administrative
tasks in preparation and during the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and
also assist the wider Clipper Race Office team in any other departments as
required, within Clipper Ventures.
7. Key responsibilities / accountability:
- Management
of ordering, distribution and stocktake of all technical clothing for staff and
over 750 Race Crew during the Clipper Race.
- Management
of all Staff transfers, flights, accommodation, and vehicle hire during the Clipper
Race and for any other Clipper Ventures specific events.
- Management
with Event Safety Management Plans (ESMPs) and risk assessments for each
Clipper Race stopover and for any other Clipper Ventures specific events.
- General
driving duties while in the UK and overseas.
- Participate
in Race Office watch system which provides cover 24/7 to the yachts whilst
racing.
- General
assistance to all Clipper Ventures departments in the UK and overseas.
- Management
of the purchase of crew satellite communications on board the fleet, taking
orders and payments.
- Clipper Race administration relating to immigration
/ customs / incident reporting / victualling, etc.
- General
assistance in stopovers (including gas bottle runs / berthing requirements / refuelling
operations / delivering maintenance spares / transporting sails, etc.)
- Assistance
with set-up and pack down of Race Village branding in stopovers and for any other
Clipper Ventures specific events.
- May be required to support other
divisions and functions of Clipper Ventures Plc not specifically stipulated
within this description.
8. Experience, qualifications and key skills required:
- Aged over 25 for purpose of hiring multi-sized vehicles.
- Have a valid Right To Work (or sufficient visas)
to be able to work in the UK.
- Ability to gain various visas for overseas travel
(typically, Europe, US, Australia, China, etc.)
- Must have UK driving license (held for minimum 1
year).
- Able to work well under direction.
- Good written, administrative & communication
skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word
and Powerpoint.
- Willing to undertake overseas travel (during 11-month
race cycle) and work out of hours whilst in UK and overseas.
