The Company: Bella Barista are pioneering organic coffee roasters based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and leading espresso machine retailers and experts in all things coffee We are a family business and our core purpose is to create a coffee lover’s paradise, providing the ultimate coffee experience for home & business: www.bellabarista.co.uk The Role: Commercial Coffee Machine Engineer with additional duties that include assisting with trade customer development. This role offers something different and exciting with variety and job satisfaction at the core of the opportunity. We are seeking a versatile individual to join our team in a unique role that combines technical expertise in repairing and servicing espresso and bean to cup coffee machines with responsibilities in coffee deliveries, machine refurbishment, and business development. This multifaceted position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about coffee and is excited to contribute to the growth of our thriving coffee roasting and equipment business. Primary Responsibilities: • Coffee Machine Maintenance and Repair in trade customers as and when required within a 30-mile radius of our Wellingborough base. • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair espresso and bean to cup coffee machines. • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. • Utilise technical knowledge to address any issues promptly and efficiently. Secondary Responsibilities: • Oversee the refurbishment process of commercial coffee machines. • Clean, sanitise, and restore machines to like-new condition. • Test refurbished machines to guarantee functionality and quality. • Work in tandem with the Coffee Sales Manager to help Identify and pursue opportunities for trade customer business growth and expansion. • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing trade customers. • Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for acquiring new customers. • Assist in the delivery of coffee supplies to our clients if required. • Where required, assist the Head of Coffee Operations with Training and Support on coffee schools. • Provide technical training and technical support to customers and internal staff. • Offer guidance on up-to-date industry guidance on machine usage and maintenance practices. • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for all coffee machine-related inquiries. Experience & Qualifications: • Proven experience in repairing and servicing espresso and bean to cup coffee machines. • Technical certification or relevant training in coffee machine maintenance and repair. • Qualified to carry out PSSR inspections and certification • Strong understanding of coffee industry standards and best practices. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work effectively. • Proactive attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional service. • Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record • Must be willing to work on a five days from seven basis which will always include a Saturday Benefits: • Competitive salary commensurate with experience. • Use of company van. • Opportunity for professional development and advancement. • Dynamic and collaborative work environment. • Discounted or complimentary coffee-related products. • Twenty days holiday per annum plus public holidays If you are ready to blend your technical expertise with a passion for coffee and business development, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
