Job description
To provide a high standard of evidence based triage and minor illness assistance to the Doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team and maintain a high standard care for our patients. This will include health promotion, treatment, screening and chronic disease management and preventative care as appropriate. The duties will include all tasks normally undertaken by an experienced Nurse Practitioner Prescriber in Triage & Minor Illness including history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care and in addition any tasks agreed between the post holder and the Doctors as appropriate, having regard to current training. To work directly and independently with our patients. Diagnosing, initiating, concluding treatment including prescribing within agreed protocols. To work between both practice sites in Thorpe St Andrew and Sprowston. To use SystmOne and Ardens Templates as our practice clinical system of choice. Adhere to the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct and to be conversant with The Scope of Professional practice and other NMC advisory papers.
