Job description

Role: Works Manager

Working Days: Mon to Fri

Salary: £45k - 48k pa

Location: Malvern

We are looking for a Works manager with a hands on attitude, the ideal candidate will have experience in managing a production team, delivering products and services in-line with scorecard requirements in order to satisfy internal and external customer expectations.

Ensuring co-operation and clear communication across all levels within the organisation whilst also responsible for developing Production plan maximising shop floor production and efficiencies.

Responsible for:

Liaising with other sites
Facilities management
Ensuring customer quality and delivery performances are met.
Effective communication i.e. team meetings
Must be able to drive initiatives through the organisation.
Continuous improvement activity and elimination of wastes supporting labour productivity, equipment capacity, productivity and efficiency. Applying LEAN techniques.

Setting and agreeing to company departmental measures.

Essential skills:

Previous manufacturing production experience

Excellent communication skills

Strong organisational skills

Good knowledge of Production/manufacturing machinery and technologies

Good knowledge of Production/manufacturing processes
Excellent IT skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable skills:

Knowledge of QMS

Previous aerospace experience

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Ability to solve complex manufacturing problems

Commercially astute, supporting the business in the achievement of its growth and financial targets
