Job description
Senior Accountant required for a Chartered Management Accounting practice based just outside Stroud, GL6, paying up to £60,000. PART TIME HOURS ALSO CONSIDERED
Unlike the more traditional practices our client offers the full range of accountancy services including business consulting and work very pro actively with their clients offering advice as well as the more regular accounting services. The clients they work with range from sole traders to international corporations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that wants to help grow a practice and shape its future. The practice is headed up by a gentleman that has real vision and can spot opportunities and gaps in the market place.
Our client is looking for a qualified (FCA, ACA, ACCA) Senior Accountant that has solid tax knowledge for both individuals and companies and has sound hands on accounting and book keeping experience.
The role of Senior Accountant will involve the following types of duties:
- preparation of year end statutory accounts for review
- preparation of ongoing management and financial accounts, including VAT and standard reconciliation's
- new business development and customer relations
- preparation of traditional accounts such as incomplete record/box jobs
- supervising and providing technical support to other staff in the offices
This role will suit someone that is looking for progression to senior management, potentially through to Board level and that has the drive and enthusiasm to expand the practice.
