Contract Technical Writer

Calling all engineering technical writers

We've got an exciting contract opportunity for an experienced technical author to join our engineering client. This contract is to start ASAP and will run through to the end of 2024.

Working within the dynamic engineering team and with cheerful technical writing colleagues, you'll get involved with writing information such as user manuals and guides, technical procedures and service bulletins for engineering audiences.

This is a great time to be joining the team as the company is about to launch a brand-new product that's there for you to get your hands on.

What's needed?

• A solid background as a technical writer ideally in an electromechanical, engineering or similar environment.
• Experience of FrameMaker and Illustrator- any experience with MadCap Flare is a plus, as is knowledge of single sourcing and/or document management systems.
• The ability to quickly absorb new information.
• An understanding of different components and how to describe them.
• An enthusiastic, proactive and friendly attitude.

Free parking is available, with good links to public transport in central Cambridge. This role is based on a hybrid working model, with at least 2-3 days in the office.
