Job description

As an Assistant Buyer at boohooMAN you'll be innovative, driven and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for driving the success of the department within boohooMAN and continue to looking for the next best trend! To be a successful Assistant Buyer you'll constantly review the critical path to ensure that department targets as well as deliveries are met on time and inline with the brand's strategy. Additionally you'll be passionate about finding gaps in the market and continuing boohooMAN's success. This role is based from our central Manchester office.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a BAA on critical path and OPO management to ensure department targets are achieved and deliveries are on time.
• Negotiating cost prices to achieve best prices to meet department targets.
• Understanding open costings including fabric prices, consumption and fit amend implications.
• Proactively in the market looking at competitors and upcoming trends to incorporate into our newness.
• Awareness of department strategy, frameworks and Open To Buy with the support of the buyer and merchandising team.
• Accountable for checking new in product daily to ensure all details of each product are correct online.
• Ownership of fit sessions and actioning fit comments direct to suppliers.
• Supporting the Buyer to ensure sign offs are happening within the time frames and all suppliers have been communicated too.

More about you

• Experience within a previous buying role- ideally within menswear but not essential.
• Proven experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable with the use of a critical path and supporting the BAA with managing this task.
• Comfortable working at pace. Agility is something you pride yourself on.
• A team player. Someone who enjoys going above and beyond to support others in the team where needed, especially during peak times.
• Passionate about all things boohooMAN.
