HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic

Southend On Sea, Essex

£45,000 to £50,000 plus Over Time and package

We are looking for a qualified HGV technician/ HGV mechanic that has the skills and motivation to work with our client to maintain and keep their fleet of vehicles in a safe condition. The role is predominantly yard based with occasional site visits. The company is going through a well planned growthy phase and can offer significant opportunities to progress your career. ROLE:

• Carrying out the day to day servicing, MOT preparation and repairs to HGV, and light commercial vehicles.
  
• You will be maintaining and keeping their own fleet of vehicles compliant on the roads as well as outside customers vehicles.
  
• You will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs to ensure their fleet vehicles are safe, compliant and repaired to the highest standards.
  
• Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant accurately.
  
• Competent and confident with the use of diagnostic equipment to fault find.
  

Requirements

CANDIDATE:

• Previous experience as Mechanical Fitter or technician ideally with a Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent.
  
• A HGV licence is desirable but not essential.
  
• A Drive to grow and develop within the business.
  
• A team player that has the ability to also work independently.
  

Benefits

Salary £45,000 – £50,000 (dependant on experience) plus overtime opportunities.
