A Vacancy at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

We are recruiting for a Clinical Support Worker - Higher Level who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We require an enthusiastic, dynamic applicant to join the Paediatric Diabetes team to support the current Paediatric Nursing staff in giving good quality and high standard of care to all Children and young people under the Diabetes service.

This role will require movement between Lister and QEII to assist with clinics at least 4 times a week as well as supporting CYP's from the office setting situated at QEII.

Support the MDT in the outpatient clinic setting.

Organise and assist the MDT with the smooth running of the outpatient service

Collect annual review blood and urine samples and send them to the lab

Complete annual review foot-check and give foot care advice

Complete injection and cannula site inspections

Provide annual review paperwork and ensure completion

Co-ordinate patients data downloads and attach to clinical record

Recognise and treat hypoglycaemia as per Trust guideline

Support MDT with technology set-up

Support the MDT with non-clinical tasks

Print blood and urine forms in preparation for clinic

Collate and chase missing blood results, urine results and eye-checks ahead of clinics

Attach available download to clinical records

Support paediatric diabetes nurses (PDSN) with ordering insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices

Maintain and order stocks and supplies for clinics, Out of Hours (OOH) supplies and office

Make up Newly Diagnosed Diabetes Packs for inpatient use

Support MDT in communication's with other professionals
