Job description
This role will provide a comprehensive, specialist family therapy service to young people at HMYOI Cookham Wood, and their families / support networks. You will contribute to the development of understanding around systemic practice within the custodial environment, linking with operational colleagues to promote joint working and collaboration. You will provide specialist mental health and psychological assessment and therapy (as appropriate to professional training) as well as offering advice and consultation on young peoples care to other members of the core team on a given landing or unit. You will support the core support team in the process of multi-disciplinary collaborative formulation; particularly bringing the family context/perspective; provide reflective practice, training and support to custodial colleagues in their day-to-day management of young people in the prison.
