Live-in Housekeeper/Cook

Our client, a single gentleman with a 10-bedroom medieval residence in East Devon, is looking for an experienced, hands-on, meticulous Live-in Housekeeper/Cook.  A driver is a must due to the location.

Duties include:

• Hands-on housekeeping with exceptional eye for detail
• Laundry and washing of delicate items
• Ironing and changing of linen
• Running of errands and shopping
• Cooking and food preparation of lunches and dinners when the principal is in residence (Mediterranean, fresh, healthy dishes)
• Cooking for shoot parties up to 20 covers when required (extra service staff are bought in for these busier times)

The principal is not in residence at all times – he comes for longer periods of time rather than just weekends, especially during the summer and shoot season.  Usually 1 month during Easter, Approx. 8 weeks from Mid July and 6/8 weekends during Autumn.

• Confident cook - there is a kitchen garden with organic produce

Working days:Monday to Friday when the principal is not in residence, flexibility required when in residence
