About The Role:
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Deputy Manager for one of our children’s residential care homes who shares our aspirations for children and young people in care in Oldham. You should be passionate about securing good outcomes for children, young people and families and have a sound knowledge of Legislation and Regulations for children’s homes.
As the Deputy Manager you will provide a planned and safe caring environment which gives care, control, and nurture, appropriate to maintaining and promoting the emotional and physical well-being of children and young people on a planned basis. You will be responsible for maintaining contacts with parents, schools, social workers, General Practitioners, wider family members and staff and managers from across the wider Service.
As The Deputy Manager will work to ensure the highest standards of care excellence and quality assure the care delivered against Ofsted’s Children’s homes regulations, Quality Standards, and any relevant legislation.
The Children’s residential service supports the most vulnerable children and families from our communities and requires a well organised committed individual to lead from the front ensuring our children are safeguarded and managed in an individual bespoke way.

The successful applicant will be required to register to the DBS Update Service to enable the Council to undertake rechecks throughout your employment. The cost to register is £13 and can be claimed back upon commencement to the role but will not be refunded if you do not accept the offer of employment.
