Job description

Job Description: Essential Duties:

  1. Interpret geologic data and provides reserve and coal quality information and assessments.
  2. Assist in the preparation of mine plans and permits in compliance with applicable laws.
  3. Monitor state and federal drilling permit requirements and protection of reserves.
  4. Maintain geologic files, data and samples.
  5. Complete special technical studies as assigned.
  6. Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, state and federal regulations, established company policies and procedures, and employment law regulations.

Other Duties:

  1. Assist in administration of computer hardware and software.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education, Training and Experience:

Four-year college degree in Geology or related degree plus related experience.
